Cryosurgery is a technique for removing small to medium sized skin growths. Liquid Nitrogen is applied to the growth, which freezes the growth while preserving the surrounding healthy tissue.

Over the course of the next few days the area that was frozen will break down and fall off. As the skin heals there is some minor scar formation, which is often unnoticed due to the hair cover.

Where Cryosurgery has it’s great advantage, is that it can be done under local anaesthetic, or minimal sedation. This reduces the risks for older pets, or pets that are otherwise at greater anaesthetic risk due to heart or other disease conditions. It can of course be done in your home so that no trip to the hospital or overnight stay is required
